Philip Rohrer cultivates long-lasting partnerships and secures the financial foundation that enables Stockholm Resilience Centre to continue its ground-breaking science and impact.

SRC’s approach to research often means working outside established academic boundaries, leading to a need for innovative models for financing. Rohrer is responsible for managing and implementing the centre’s core fundraising strategy, alongside its research leaders and fundraising team. His work includes initiating dialogues and building long-term relationships with current and potential funders while developing and managing the processes and systems needed to strengthen the centre’s fundraising capacity.

His philosophy of fundraising is rooted in generative participation. Rather than conducting mere transactions, he looks to invite people to partner in a larger mission by investing their financial and social capital to create something new together.

Rohrer joined SRC in 2025 after working at Stockholm Akademiska Forum, Stockholm School of Economics, and Swedbank. A relational generalist, his experience stretches across diverse organisations and spheres in Sweden, Estonia, and the USA. His educational background includes communication, entrepreneurship, and theology.
