Introduction by Kate Raworth, Oxford University

This video is part of the Massive Open Online Course Transforming Development: The Science and Practice of Resilience Thinking, which ran during Spring 2018, and was hosted by SDG Academy.

With concerns about climate and global environmental changes, and increases in social, economic, and political turbulence, the concept of resilience is proving useful across a range of sectors as a way to understand and respond to a fast-changing, surprise-riddled world. The course is designed to help practitioners use resilience thinking as a tool to improve development practice and apply systems thinking across and beyond the Sustainable Development Goals.
