Annika Moberg manages communications planning, implementation, and monitoring for PLATE—the Research Centre for Resilient Meals to advance PLATE’s mission: building a resilient, sustainable, and competitive food service sector that promotes well-being for all.

Before joining PLATE, Annika Moberg served as Head of Communications for the Young Academy of Sweden, where she played a key role in establishing the organisation. The Young Academy unites Sweden’s most promising younger researchers, several of whom are affiliated with Stockholm Resilience Centre. At the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, she managed Nobel Prize announcements and was Editor for the Nobel Prize popular science posters. Annika Moberg also contributed as a volunteer for five years to the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation, engaging in editorial collaboration and graphic design production. Prior to her work in academia, she held a position as Graphic Producer at the prominent branding agency Essen International.

Annika Moberg holds a Master of Arts in Media and Communication Studies, with her thesis focusing on an examination of environmental news coverage in Swedish television and its relation to the issues highlighted in the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment Report. Additionally, she earned a HVE certificate in Project Management and is a co-founder of Forskom, the Swedish network for science communicators.

Annika Moberg is a Co-author and Art Editor of the children’s book Forskardrömmar – Berättelser för nyfikna barn (Researcher Dreams – Stories for Curious Children), published by the Young Academy of Sweden. She is also the Assistant Editor and Art Editor for Ett kaljedoskop av kunskap, an anthology showcasing research from all fields represented in the Young Academy of Sweden.
