Anna Pattison supports the emBrace project in co-producing desirable futures for multifunctional protected areas landscapes

Pattison works as a research assistant in the emBrace project using the Nature Futures Framework as a tool to co-produce desirable futures in multifunctional protected areas that reconcile biodiversity protection and sustainable food production.

Pattison recently completed a master's degree in Social-Ecological Resilience for Sustainable Development at the Stockholm Resilience Centre. Her master's thesis investigated environmental justice framings in the negotiations of the global plastics pollution treaty. Pattison has a Bachelor of Science in environmental studies and chemistry from The King’s University in Canada. During her undergraduate studies, Pattison worked with the King's Centre for Visualization in Science to develop an interactive systems thinking learning tool, connecting the planetary boundaries framework to chemistry education. Previously, Pattison worked as a programme coordinator, developing and implementing a hands-on environmental educational program for students.
