
Gustav Engström’s research interests includes various economic aspects of global environmental change, in particular the economics of climate change and issues related to energy supply and tipping points in the climate system.
He also does work in urban economics. Currently he is the principle investigator on a research project titled “Global bio-physical processes in climate-economy modelling” which aims to investigate how key earth system processes identified within the planetary boundaries framework can be incorporated into existing climate-economy frameworks. The research project is funded by the Ragnar Söderberg foundation.
