Jorinde-Marie Rieger supports the FinBio project with spatial data analysis
Rieger works as a research assistant in the Mistra Finance to Revive Biodiversity (FinBio) project with the Stockholm Resilience Centre, where she supports the spatial data analysis of economic land-use policies on keystone species at the regional and biome level.
Rieger recently completed a master’s degree in Social-ecological Resilience for Sustainable Development at Stockholm Resilience Centre. For her thesis, she explored stakeholder perceptions of Nature-based Solutions to provide resilience against heatwaves by applying a creative mental mapping approach. Rieger presented her thesis results in a workshop at the Nature of the Cities (TNOC) conference and at the NetworkNature annual event. During her studies, Rieger worked at Stockholm Resilience Centre as a research assistant and trainee for projects such as the RECONNECT (BIODIVERSA+) research program. She also volunteered at the Cities for Biodiversity conference in Stockholm between work and studies. Rieger holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental and Sustainability Studies from the Leuphana University Lüneburg, Germany, and has an integrated ERASMUS year at the Karlstad University Sweden.
