Alexandra McFadden is working on a research project investigating and distilling key resilience science “must-knows” for decision-makers.
Alexandra McFadden is part of a research team coordinated by Stockholm Resilience Centre, Global Resilience Partnership, and Future Earth that is focusing on the key “must-knows” in resilience science. Through dialogue with a diverse range of researchers and an investigation into critical transdisciplinary science on complex social-ecological systems, the research aims to deliver an actionable report to support policymakers and industry.
She has a MSc in Human Ecology from Lund University and wrote her thesis on conservation conflicts and Indigenous land use paradigms in the Swedish Arctic. Prior to her role at SRC she has worked as a science editor, as well as a writer and researcher on Arctic land use issues and the political ecologies of the far right.
