Veronica Olofsson works with social network analysis and unfolding power imbalances through collaborative methods

Veronica Olofsson works as a reseach assistant in the Formas funded project ‘Science in action: Intersecting pathways to the SDGs across scales in drylands’ (XPaths). Her work spans across all work packages within the project and involves collecting data, coding, data analysis and administrative tasks. She is currently leading a paper based on qualitative network analysis.

Olofsson holds two bachelor's degrees, one in political science from Stockholm University, focusing on political theory, and one in journalism from Lund University. She has a master's degree in Latin American studies from Stockholm University. The master's is an interdisciplinary programme focusing on intertwining politics, society, anthropology, development studies and other areas within a Latin American context.

She is particularly interested in examining the social aspects of the energy transition, with a particular emphasis on civil society perspectives; decolonial approaches as well as incorporation of indigenous and local knowledge systems and values for a more inclusive definition of sustainability and sustainable development.

  • Minor Field Study grant provided by SIDA, granted in 2021.
