Ida Gabrielsson is a communications officer for the Global Resilience Partnership (GRP) hosted by the centre

Gabrielsson works with communication for the GRP. She writes and edits news items for GRP’s website and updates the social media channels. She also assists with event coordination and planning for the GRP.

Before joining the GRP Secretariat, Gabrielsson worked as communications and impact officer for the ESPA-funded project, Sustainable Poverty Alleviation from Coastal Ecosystem Services (SPACES). Previously, she also worked on communications strategies for Coalition Clean Baltic (CCB) and Stockholm City’s Environmental Department (Miljöförvaltningen).

Gabrielsson holds a MSc in Environmental Science with a focus on environmental communication from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU). Her studies focused on how to increase public participation in decision-making, environmental conflict management and facilitation, and communication strategies. For her Master’s thesis, Ida studied environmental practices at two school’s following Keep Sweden Tidy’s Green Flag programme. Lotten Westberg was her thesis supervisor.

Gabrielsson received her BA in International Affairs from the George Washington University’s Elliot School of International Affairs in 2010.
