Leonard Brunner is a MSc student at the Social-Ecological Resilience for Sustainable Development programme
Brunner is a second year master student. In his strive to protect and save forests and species diversity he is trying to understand why Sweden, the land with the highest forest cover in Europe, has such a hard time to diversify its forestry and move away from the clear-cut system. He is looking for a silver lining in the silviculture.
Brunner is a former high-school teacher in music and biology but abandoned his students to study aquatic ecology at Lund University before coming to the SRC.
He is creative, frustraded and engagaged. He believes in a transition towards altruism and creative knowledge. The best is yet to come. He plans to make a documentary about the characteristic personalities and the fight for the cause at the center.
