Welcome address to NESS 2011 conference by centre director Johan Rockström.
The 10th Nordic Environmental Social Science Conference (NESS) gathered researchers from a range of disciplines within the social sciences and humanities meet to share ideas and experiences.

The conference was a collaborative effort between Stockholm University, Stockholm Resilience Centre and Stockholm Environment Institute.
