How can network theory be used in environmental law?
Barbara Cosens from University of Idaho answers this question.
Barbara Cosen is lead faculty for the Law School on the Waters of the West Strategic Initiative, an interdisciplinary research and graduate programme that offers concurrent JD/MS and JD/PhD degrees.

She was previously an Assistant Professor in the Environmental Studies Program at San Francisco State University, and former mediator of efforts to settle water distribution disputes on the Walker River in California and Nevada.

Cosen is a member of the Montana, Colorado and California bars. She received her LL.M. from Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark College in 2003, and her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1990, where she graduated Magna cum laude.

Her research interests include water law, the interface between natural resource law and science, and resilience and water resource management. She is a member of the Universities Consortium on Columbia River Governance.
