URBES
Urban Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services is a three-year project running between 2011-2014 and is coordinated by Stockholm Resilience Centre. The project is based on case studies on four European cities: Berlin, Stockholm, Rotterdam and Salzburg. URBES is a collaboration between nine European top research institutions. Read more

This is a joint collaboration between UNESCO and the Stockholm Resilience Centre, URBIS aims to re-establish the connection between people and their natural environment through innovative forms of knowledge networking and governance of the urban landscape. Read more

The SUPER Project
This two-year project explores how integration of the concept of ‘ecosystem services´ into urban spatial planning efforts could increase human wellbeing in cities and build resilience in relation to uncertain outcomes of urbanization and climate change. Read more

ESCAPE
ESCAPE - Governance of urban ecosystem services in Cape Town city region, is a three-year collaborative research and exchange project between Stockholm Resilience Centre, Stockholm University and the Environmental and Geographical Science Department at University of Cape Town (UCT), which is closely aligned with the African Centre for Cities. Green wedges as urban commons
This project is closely linked to the SUPER-project, and the URBIS project with the aim to re-establish the connection between people and their natural environment through innovative forms of knowledge networking and governance of the urban landscape. Read more

Albano Patch Work
This project aims at making Albano not only the preferred meeting site for the three largest universities in Scandinavia (Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm University and Karolinska Institute), but also aims at increasing the capacity of the area to generate ecosystem services. Read more

Urb-SENA
This project uses social network analysis to to understand and describe complex social-ecological systems. Read more
