In this project, we contribute research on the theme of Adaptiveness. We do this through ongoing theoretical and empirical work on global adaptive governance - i.e. the social, institutional, economical and ecological foundations of governance modes that are successful in building resilience for the challenges posed by 'planetary boundaries' and complex Earth system interactions.Read more about adaptiveness and innovation in earth system governance here.
