Their project, which was one of the top-ranked recipients of this year´s Formas´ grants, looks into ecosystem services in agricultural landscapes. More specifically, it deals with the design of frameworks for finding synergies and discover trade-offs between a multitude of services.
The huge global challenge in this context is to produce enough high-quality food for a growing world population without undermining the long-term capacity of ecosystems to produce services. A total of 2 million kronor will be granted for the period 2008-2010.
