Climate challenge tougher than we thought
- Climate sceptics brush the scientific evidence under the carpet, says centre researchers.
A storm of criticism and climate scepticism is currently raging against the UN´s scientific panel on climate change, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).

In an article in Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet, centre director Johan Rockström and centre researcher Will Steffen attemp to provide a balanced description of the scientific evidence of climate change and answer the criticism that has surfaced over the past months.

- Climate sceptics brush the scientific evidence under the carpet by exaggerating a marginal error in the IPCC´s latest report and misrepresenting other IPCC results, with the goal of undermining climate research as a whole. This is not only wrong, but also irresponsible. The situation is too serious to allow this type of unsubstantiated manipulation to continue, the researchers say.
