Investment policy

Mistra's board annually decides on an investment policy that determines the work of the asset management committee. In the policy, the board determines the goals of the asset management.

The basis of the asset management are the paragraphs of Mistra's statutes:

Wealth
2§ The wealth of the foundation consist of the assets that through the decision by the government December 2, 1993 was transferred to the foundation and the assets that hereafter can be added to it as additional foundation capital.

Asset management etc
9§ The board is responsible for that the wealth of the foundation is managed in a safe way so that risks are limited and that opportunities to achieve good returns are utilised.

10§ The foundation may take loans from a credit institution in order to satisfy temporary liquidity requirements.

In accordance with Mistra's strategy "Mistra towards Year 2020" Mistra annually pays around SEK 200 million (measured in year 2003 price level). This level of payments will with high likelihood mean that Mistra's capital will be depleted. Mistra is expected to be active until the year 2020.
