Analysing and formulating policies for today´s pressing environmental conflicts requires an integrated and interdisciplinary approach. The courses introduces the different bases and approaches taken by different disciplines.
The course also discusses epistemological issues such as causality, explanations, reductionism, objectivity, complexity, uncertainty, post-normal science as well as inductive, deductive and abductive approaches.
Lecturers represent a variety of disciplines.
