Ecosystem Management 7,5 ECTS
Lectures discuss various concepts concerning ecosystem management.
Concepts include ecological resilience, complex adaptive systems, functional biodiversity, threshold effects, multiple stable domains, cross-scale interactions and social-ecological systems, as well as key challenges for natural resource management in an increasingly globalised world. Tools include the ecological footprint, agent modelling, and a role-play on common-pool resources. Cases include coral reefs and the Stockholm National Urban Park.
