Ecosystem Management 7,5 cr/ECTS
Lectures discuss various concepts concerning ecosystem management on this course, which is a collaboration between Stockholm Resilience Centre and The Department of Systems Ecology at Stockholm University.
Concepts include ecological resilience, complex adaptive systems, functional biodiversity, threshold effects, multiple stable domains, cross-scale interactions and social-ecological systems and their importance for ecosystem management. This is set in a discussion of key challenges for natural resource management in an increasingly human dominated world.
