Momentet behandlar både generella globaliserings- och utvecklingsfrågor, och ger med fallexempel inblick i några enskilda utvecklingsländers situation.

Ekologisk ekonomi 7,5 hp
Syftet med detta kursmoment är att skapa förståelse för naturresursers och ekosystemens roll för samhällsekonomin och människans välfärd.

Courses from the Master studies
These courses are originally part of one of the two Master studies Ecosystems, Governance and Globalisation and Sustainable enterprising, however they are also offered to students who do not want to do an entire Masters degree but want to study individual courses from the Master studies.

The courses are as follows:

Adaptive Governance of social-ecological systems
This course focuses on institutional and organizational aspects of ecosystem management, in particular how governance systems may adapt to manage conflicts and enhance social-ecological resilience.

Ecosystem management
The course introduces and explains concepts such as ecological resilience, complex adaptive systems, functional biodiversity, threshold effects, multiple stable domains, cross-scale interactions and social-ecological systems, as well as key challenges for natural resource management in an increasingly globalised world.

Environmental law for sustainable enterprising
In this course, participants discuss through lectures and seminars how enterprises can adapt to anticipated legal changes related to environmental issues.

International governance of ecosystems
This course takes a macro-perspective on ecosystem management regimes.

Management tools and change management for sustainable enterprising
The course introduces and discusses how to assess and evaluate continuous improvement towards sustainable enterprising.

Philosophy of science for interdisciplinary environmental research
This course focuses on the interdisciplinary aspect of environmentally oriented science in general.

Resilience, vulnerability and adaptability
This course introduces the participants to the emerging research area with the same name. Different perspectives on complex adaptive systems and their resilience, vulnerability and adaptability are discussed by international experts representing various disciplines.

Social responsibility for sustainable enterprising
The course focuses on different perspectives as to the social, economic and environmental responsibilities that can be associated with enterprises today.
