Diana has studied Industrial Engineering and Management with an international, Spanish profile. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Technology, specializing in Energy Technology. Her thesis was about the energy recovery potential in Municipal Solid Waste in Puebla, Mexico and included a field trip to the country of interest.

An inherent curiosity about the workings and interconnectivity of things led to studies in natural sciences and exchange years in both Spain and Kenya. However, sporadic studies in industrial ecology, development studies and economics could not fill the gap left blank by natural sciences.

Diana has professional experience from areas of the private sector, such as sales, project management, business development and entrepreneurship. She wishes to utilize this perspective while maintaining focus on incentives and barriers for implementing social-ecological resilient ideas.

The road to SRC has included working on a sailing ship in the Baltic Sea, engagement in Engineers Without Borders and a general love for our common home, the planet!
