Jenny finds the SERSD program to be an amazing opportunity. The small class and the chance to work closely with the researchers is very rewarding as it enables discussions and interactive learning. Other key reasons are the innovative thinking and result orientation of the research at the center, as well as the transdisciplinary approach.
Jenny holds a Bachelor’s degree from Stockholm Business School, with a major in business administration and focus on marketing and consumer behaviour.
After graduating Jenny started working in the textile clothing business, mainly within purchasing and product development. She lived two years in Thessaloniki, Greece, gaining experience in textile production and supply chains.
The four years prior to joining SERSD she was the product manager at a Swedish clothing brand, focusing on sustainable production. She initiated participation in Mistra Future Fashion projects, where business and science join forces to reach a circular fashion industry. These projects included exploring different textile recycling techniques and investigating new sustainable fibres.
This sparked an interest and desire to learn more and gain a bigger perspective. At SRC Jenny wants to combine her academic- and work experience with the social-ecological systemic view on sustainable development to be able to make a difference and create change.
Jenny gets inspired by music, film, people and by being surrounded by nature.
