Johanna's PhD study, "Using network analysis to quantify the effect of climate on spatial explicit marine food-web interactions in the context of socio-ecological system dynamics", aims to provide new approaches to analyze the structural patterns of interactions in the social-ecological systems of the Baltic Sea. Johanna is part of the NorMER network (Nordic Centre for Research on Marine Ecosystems and Resources under Climate Change).Johanna has been working at SRC since 2011 with data management for the Baltic BONUS-project ECOSUPPORT (Advanced modeling tool for scenarios of the Baltic Sea ecosystem to support decision making), and with spatial analysis on the macrozoobenthos communities in Åland marine region. She has also contributed case studies to the Regime Shift Database, an online resource of different regime shifts.
