Sara Elfstrand is a Programme Officer at the Resilience and Development Programme - SwedBio - a programme mainly financed by Sida situated at Stockholm Resilience Centre.The Resilience and Development Programme is a knowledge interface between practice, policy and science, on issues concerning poverty alleviation, sustainable livelihoods, equity and human wellbeing through development towards resilient ecosystems and societies.
It also facilitates funding to related initiatives with partner organizations and institutions in developing countries and facilitates access and participation of developing country stakeholders and actors in international policy development.
Sara is an agronomist with a background as a researcher on soil science. Before joining SwedBio in 2008 she worked in an interdisciplinary research programme with issues of soil fertility in agroecosystems.
Her main area of work at the Resilience and Development Programme is related to follow-up of the Collaborative Programme and to programme planning and reporting (monitoring).
Sara also work part-time with monitoring at Stockholm Resilience Centre.
