Interpreting the state of the Baltic Sea

The centre has collaborated with a theatre group in Stockholm to develop a play about the current and future state of the Baltic Sea

The play, entitled "The Fisherman and his wife" describes the struggle to maintain a livelihood as a fisherman in the Baltic Sea. Stockholm Resilience Centre provided scientific background material for the play.

Through dance, theater, storytelling and scientific papers, artists and scientists explored the narrative of the Baltic Sea, the challenges and the possibilities for embracing complexity and generating new insights.

Stockholm Resilience Centre is a collaboration between Stockholm University and the Beijer Institute of Ecological Economics at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences
